Hi Craig, we are doing the same trip, in september as well. Ten of us we are just about to Book somewhere at Lake Garda, we hope to do the Stelvio Pass and then thoughts are the same as yours head north towards Nurgburgring and then back to calais across on the tunnerl. We dont normally bother with prebooking overnight stops. Hope your trip goes well. Have a brilliant time. Hayley

Hi Antonio
Iv had no problems at all with it stuck onto the side of the helmet, iv done 10,000 miles with it now in all sorts of weather and its still on there as good as the first day, so i wouldn't worry about sticking it.
Just make sure you clean the side of the helmet with a alcohol base cleaner to remove and dirt or grease before you stick it on

Hope this helps
Regards
Craig

Hi Craiga,
i own a helmet like yours and recently bought a ScalaRider G4, but have this doubt about placing it on to the helmet. Could you please help me on this matter? For what i could see online in your photos, you sticked the G4 to the side of the helmet and since then until today, did you had any problems with it? Getting loose (sticker or unit)? Weather problems that got the sticker to get looser or weaker or something like that...? I tryed to install the unit with the clamp that comes in the box but i just couldn't find a way for it to fit properly in this particular helmet model, so i got stuck with the sticker... Thanks in advance for your answer to my doubt(s). Kindest regards, Antonio.

Hi Thomas
I have placed 3 images of the G4 on the system 6 helmet, as you can see i used the double sided tape to stick the unit on the side of the helmet, the boom microphone around to the front with some tape to hold it down when the hemet flip front is closed, the cables for the ear pieces i pushed under the neck foam which has to be pulled out so the cables can go underneath if you pull the neck foam away from the front of the helmet it will come out ( its quite hard to remove and refit) and the ear pieces them selfs are just Velcro inside the system 6 cutouts made for mini ear pieces. Hope this helps.

HI Craiga,

Liked your post. Trying to mount G4 on system 6 helmet. I would loved to have more photos of how you managed it...

Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks for a really helpful piece. I have a K1200S and we're off on a tour in March, so this has helped me choose a tank-bag other than BMW's (now an eye-watering £171!). Got the HG bag for £42. I've also ordered a crampbuster, which should help with the long, cold slog down to Switzerland.
Thanks for taking the time to write up your purchases - you've definitely helped at least one other biker.
